About me

Imogen Rizzo (Clinical Psychologist)

BSc(Psych)(Hons),MClinPsych

Psychology became my passion as I've always had a natural desire to understand and connect with others on a deep level. I am fascinated by how our experiences can shape the way we think, feel and behave and how modern psychology can have such a powerful influence on our lives. Being apart of this journey for my clients is something that I find incredibly rewarding.

I currently work in the not for profit sector working in perinatal psychology. My work history includes private practice, corporate roles in government and the private sector, as well as working as an individual and group therapist in an acute psychiatric facility. My studies in Psychology have included a Bachelor and honours degree in Psychology, and a Masters of Clinical Psychology. I have completed published research in the area of perinatal psychology (please see research tab for more information).

I believe that struggling is human. The more we can be self-compassionate about the why, the more easily we can make the necessary changes to create the life we desire. I have a warm and non-judgemental approach and believe building a strong therapeutic relationship is essential to the therapy process. I endeavour to create an environment of safety, where clients feel that can be honest and open with me and most importantly, with themselves
